JOURNEY INTO LIFE
Summertime is almost here, and in Las Vegas, triple-digit temps are hovering. However, in May, the weather remains a balmy 80 degrees, which makes it the perfect time for a staycation or a getaway.
Millions of visitors vacation in Las Vegas annually, and locals yearn to travel outside of Southern Nevada. Playing tourist with family and friends opens new vistas and attractions never experienced before. You can take a trip using your palate, tasting whiskey and other beverages from around the country and the world. What a fun way to learn!
We love our pets, and today it is the norm to travel with our furry friends. Comfort and joy are paramount as we look through their eyes. Instagrammable moments call as we explore new sights and sounds with our dog by our side. That is true love.
Rich histories, compelling stories, and an eye towards the future combined with embracing cannabis are highlighted in other cities around the state as well. Learning about other cultures and political climates brings us together as a nation and helps us understand people. So whether you tour your city with visitors and discover the tourist side of Vegas or search out new destinations, this is the time to plan that getaway. Vacations are not a luxury, but, according to scientific research, can do wonders for mental and emotional health.
Southern Nevada’s economy is built on the tourist and hospitality industry. There is a pending vote on May 1 (after the publication of this issue) to legalize consumption lounges in the city of Las Vegas. It should be noted that the iconic Las Vegas Strip is not located within city limits, but this bill’s passage could cause a domino effect. While other experts watch states such as California, Oregon, and Colorado open the social venue door, Nevada might be the one to take the first step.
While embracing a pro-cannabis stance, Sensi magazine is part of the mainstream, highlighting our community and the world around us. Thank you for reading Sensi, either in print or digitally, and we look forward to continuing our relationship with you, our readers.
Yours in the new normal,
Debbie Hall // MANAGING EDITOR // SENSI LAS VEGAS
