Regional / Contributing Editors
Sensi is expanding to new markets, launching local pro-cannabis lifestyle magazines in Florida, California, Seattle, and beyond. We’re looking for some rockstar regional editors to join us on our mission to chronicle the new normal.
**Sensi Florida, launching summer 2017, has an immediate opening for a regional editor based in the Tampa area.**
A Sensi regional editor must be a great writer, a solid organizer, a leader, and a team player. S/he should have an eye for design, an understanding of the audience, an enthusiasm for the subject matter, a healthy dose of skepticism, an endless amount of curiosity, and a love for making magazines about engaging, challenging subjects. This isn't a full-time position, but it has the potential to become one.
The regional editor will work with the Denver-based editorial team to create a monthly magazine filled with a mix of local and national content. Some of the job duties entail:
1) Pitching local story ideas, finding sources, and writing a few articles each month for all sections of the magazine, from front-of-book blurbs to cover features to sponsored content.
2) Copyediting, fact-checking, proofreading submitted content.
3) Vetting and managing freelance photographers when necessary.
4) Working closely with the regional publisher on various projects, including advertorial columns.

Sensi is seeking a freelance copywriter. The copywriter will be responsible for working with our cannabis-industry clients to compose monthly promotional/advertorial features published in the magazine. Examples of recent columns can be seen here, here, and here.
The copywriter will also be responsible for copyediting advertorial columns submitted by our advertising clients. Knowledge of the cannabis industry is a plus but not required.
