Free Days: Enjoying Denver on a Budget

Jun 10, 2016 10:06AM ● Published by Randy Robinson

Summer has officially graced our Centennial State with lots of sunshine, bees, and an overwhelming number of events. It's easy to get caught up in everything going on, with practically every band in the world wanting to perform here, tons of camping and hiking, and, of course, gourmet selections of Rocky Mountain oysters.

But all that fun means spending money. With so much to do with only so much cash to spend, options are limited. Luckily, there's a few prominent, family-friendly spots in Denver that'll both entertain and educate the kids while costing you a whole whopping nothing. Nada. Zilch.

And heck, you might even find some educational entertainment for yourself, too.

Below are the links for dates of Free Days at Denver's most famous cultural institutions:

Denver Art Museum

Denver Museum of Nature & Science

Denver Botanical Gardens

Denver Zoo

Okay, so I flubbed a little with the Denver Zoo. They only have free days in November, but still. You get a whole five months to pencil in trips to the art museum, the science museum, and the Botanical Gardens before November. Have fun!
